Baking a Difference: How The Cinnamon Kitchen is Redefining Desserts

The Cinnamon Kitchen is a Delhi-based clean-label bakery founded by Priyasha Saluja, offering a range of plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free treats. What began as a personal quest to manage her PCOS symptoms through healthier eating has evolved into a thriving business that redefines indulgence without compromise.
Diagnosed with PCOS at 13, Priyasha struggled to find desserts that aligned with her dietary needs. This challenge inspired her to experiment in her home kitchen, creating recipes that were both delicious and health-conscious. In 2019, with an initial investment of ₹50,000, she launched The Cinnamon Kitchen, aiming to provide guilt-free indulgences for health-conscious consumers.
Priyasha's appearance on Shark Tank India Season 3 showcased her commitment to healthy baking. She presented her best-selling vegan dark chocolate fudge, among other treats, seeking ₹60 lakh for a 2% equity stake. Impressed by her vision and product quality, Aman Gupta of boAt offered ₹60 lakh for a 5% equity stake, which Priyasha accepted.
Since its inception, The Cinnamon Kitchen has expanded its product line to over 40 items, including cookies, cakes, and savory snacks. The brand has garnered attention from celebrities like Sonam Kapoor and Malaika Arora and has achieved significant revenue growth, reaching ₹6 crore in the 2023 fiscal year.
With the momentum from Shark Tank India, The Cinnamon Kitchen plans to enhance its distribution channels, extend product shelf life, and explore partnerships with platforms like Blinkit and Amazon. The brand also offers workshops led by Priyasha, educating others on plant-based baking and healthy eating.
