Turning Art Into Dignity: The Story of Tickle Your Art

Tickle Your Art is a Pune-based social enterprise founded by Shweta Runwal, dedicated to empowering individuals with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. The company transforms their original artwork into premium lifestyle products such as stationery, home décor, accessories, and gifting items. Each product celebrates creativity, inclusion, and dignity—showcasing the unique artistic expressions of neurodiverse individuals.

The idea stemmed from Shweta’s personal journey as a mother to a child with Down Syndrome. While navigating therapies and education, she discovered the powerful potential of art as a means of self-expression for children with intellectual disabilities. Realizing that these expressions could be turned into meaningful products and livelihoods, she launched Tickle Your Art.

Tickle Your Art gained national recognition after appearing on Shark Tank India Season 3. Shweta’s pitch, grounded in empathy and purpose, moved the judges. The pitch earned an investment from the sharks, giving the brand a boost in visibility and credibility.

Tickle Your Art goes beyond charity or therapy—it treats art by neurodiverse individuals as valuable and market-worthy. The artists are recognized, their stories are shared, and a portion of sales directly supports them and their families. The products are not only thoughtfully designed but also tell a story of resilience, joy, and talent.

Looking ahead, Tickle Your Art plans to scale operations by onboarding more artists, launching new collections, and building a dedicated e-commerce platform. The team is also exploring partnerships for corporate gifting to expand its market reach.
